Bus Transfers To and From Aalborg Airport

The distance from Aalborg Airport (AAL) to the center of Aalborg city is 7 km/4.3 miles so taking the bus to or from the airport is a good option if you are planning to stay in the city center or take a bus or train somewhere else from there. The bus stop is located 25 meters outside of the terminal’s main entrance, just across the road.

Buses towards Aalborg run every 10-20 minutes during the days, depending on where in Aalborg you are going as not all buses stop in the city center, and not all buses go to Aalborg Busterminal.

For those arriving at the airport late in the evening there is a night bus option, both coming to and going from Aalborg.

The train station in Aalborg is located next to Aalborg Busterminal and the ride there takes at least 20-25 minutes from the airport. If you are going to the center of Aalborg you want to get off either at the bus stop called Vesterbro or the one called Nytorv. It takes 15-20 minutes to get from the airport to the city center by bus.

Bus Fares

The bus fare is 24 DKK for a single adult ticket. Children between 12-16 and seniors from age 65 and up pay half price. Every paying adult or senior can take 2 children up to the age of 12 with them on the bus at no additional cost, children aged 12-16 can take 1 child age 0-11 with them at no additional cost.

You are recommended to buy your ticket through the bus company Nordjyllands Trafikselskab’s ticket app, called NT Tickets (available for free in your app store, iPhone and Android).
